RRC South Eastern Railway Invites Applications for 1785 Apprentices

The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) of the South Eastern Railway has launched a massive apprenticeship drive for the year 2025. With e of the official notification, RRC has announced a significant opportunity with 1785 vacancies for Apprentice positions across various workshops and sheds within the zone. This recruitment presents a golden chance for ITI and 10th-pass candidates to gain specialized training and kickstart their careers in one of India’s largest public sector employers.

Eligibility, Fee, and Selection Process

1. Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have passed the 10th class examination or its equivalent from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks.
• OR possess an ITI certificate in the relevant trade from an institution recognized by NCVT/SCVT.

2. Age Limit & Relaxation

• General/EWS: 15 – 24 years.
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 15 – 27 years (3 years relaxation).
• SC/ST: 15 – 29 years (5 years relaxation).
• PwBD: Up to 10 years additional relaxation.

3. Application Fee

• General/OBC: ₹ 100
• SC/ST/PwBD/All Women: Exempted from fee payment.

4. Merit-Based Selection Process

• Selection will be based purely on the marks obtained in the 10th/ITI examination.
• A trade-wise and category-wise merit list will be prepared.
• Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification followed by a Medical Examination.
