Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must meet the following educational criteria :

• Matric / 10th Standard: Passed with a minimum of 50% marks .
• ITI (NCVT): Passed in the relevant trade with an aggregate of 65% marks .
• Note: Provisional National Trade Certificate (Provisional NCVT) is acceptable .

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: Above 18 years as on June 1, 2026 .
• Maximum Age: There is no upper age restriction for Apprenticeship training as per Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) norms .

Reservation

• SC/ST/OBC: Vacancies are reserved as per MSDE Notification dated June 16, 2015 .
• Physically Handicapped (PwBD): 3% of vacancies are reserved as per the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 .

Stipend

Selected candidates will receive a stipend as per the Apprenticeship Act 1961 and applicable MSDE government norms .

Important Note on Employment

As per the Apprenticeship Act 1961, it shall not be obligatory for Naval Ship Repair Yard, Kochi to employ the apprentice on completion of training .
