This recruitment is for the prestigious National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) for the January 2026 batch.
This is a walk-in selection process that will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to the availability of vacancies in various engineering disciplines. The walk-in will be held from 8th December 2025 to 13th December 2025 at HAL’s facility in Bengaluru. Eligible candidates who have passed their Diploma on or after 1st February 2021 are encouraged to attend with all required documents.

Detailed Eligibility Criteria
1. Mandatory Educational Qualification:
- Course: Must have passed a 3-Year Diploma in Engineering/Technology from an institution recognized by the Government.
- Passing Date: Must have passed on or after 1st February 2021.
- Registration: Must be registered as a “Student” on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal: www.mhrdnats.gov.in.
2. Other Crucial Conditions:
- Not Eligible: Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training under the NATS scheme are NOT ELIGIBLE.
- Work Experience: Candidates with one or more years of work experience are NOT ELIGIBLE.
- Age Limit: As per the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992. Typically, candidates should be at least 16 years old.
Selection Process & Stipend
Selection Process:
- Walk-in Selection: The selection will be purely on a first-come, first-served basis during the specified dates.
- Document Verification: Candidates must present all original certificates for verification.
- Final Offer: Subject to verification and availability of seats in the respective engineering discipline.
Stipend & Benefits:
- Monthly Stipend: Selected apprentices will receive a fixed stipend of ₹10,900 per month.
- Additional Benefit: Access to subsidized canteen facilities at the HAL campus.
- Certificate: Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship period, candidates will receive a certificate from HAL, which holds significant value in the aerospace and engineering industry.

Candidates must follow these steps meticulously to ensure their participation:
Step 1: Pre-Walk-in Registration (Mandatory)
- Visit the NATS portal: www.mhrdnats.gov.in.
- Register yourself as a “Student”.
- Complete your profile with all educational details.
- Take a printout of your registered profile page. This is mandatory to carry to the walk-in venue.
Step 2: Prepare Documents
Carry the following documents in original along with one set of self-attested photocopies:
- Printout of the registered profile from the NATS portal.
- 10th / SSLC Marks Card (for proof of date of birth).
- Diploma Certificate / Provisional Pass Certificate.
- All Semester/Year-wise Diploma Mark Sheets.
- Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC) and PwBD Certificate, if applicable. (OBC certificate must be in the Central Government format and valid for appointments in PSUs).
- Aadhaar Card.
- Two recent passport-size colour photographs.
- Any other relevant documents.
