ECL Apprentice Recruitment 2025 – Overview

Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited (CIL), has invited applications for 280 apprentice vacancies in various trades. This recruitment offers a golden opportunity for ITI pass-outs to gain hands-on training in one of the leading coal mining companies in India.

Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend between ₹7,000 – ₹7,700, along with exposure to real industrial training. The last date to submit applications is September 26, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria for ECL Apprentice Recruitment 2025

Before applying, candidates must ensure they meet the required eligibility conditions.

Educational Qualification

• Fitter: ITI certificate in Fitter trade.
• Electrician: ITI certificate in Electrician trade.
• COPA (Computer Operator & Programming Assistant): ITI certificate in COPA trade.
• Welder: ITI certificate in Welder trade OR minimum 8th pass.

Candidates must have at least 40% marks in ITI.

Other Requirements

• Candidates must be registered on the NAPS (National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme) portal.
• The mobile number linked to Aadhaar must match with the NAPS registration.
• Applicants can apply only for one trade in either West Bengal or Jharkhand.

Stipend & Benefits

The ECL apprenticeship program provides a monthly stipend as per trade:

• Fitter & Electrician: ₹7,700/month
• COPA & Welder: ₹7,000/month

   • If still same, earlier NAPS registration date will be considered.
3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must verify documents in person at ECL.
