Educational Qualification

Candidates must satisfy all of the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised University in India.
  • Knowledge of computer operation.
  • Minimum English typing speed of 35 words per minute on computer.

Age Limit

Candidates should be between 18 and 30 years of age as on 1 September 2026.

Age Relaxation

The notification provides usual age relaxation to eligible SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), Physically Challenged and Ex-Servicemen candidates as per Government of India rules.

Dependents of Freedom Fighters may receive relaxation of up to 5 years. There is no upper age limit for departmental candidates of the Supreme Court Registry. Candidates employed in other Government departments, PSUs, Nationalised Banks and similar organisations do not receive age relaxation merely on account of such employment.

Selection Process

The objective examination contains 100 questions for 100 marks and has a duration of 1½ hours. Candidates must obtain at least 50 marks to qualify. There is a negative marking of 0.25 mark for each incorrect answer.
