Post-wise Educational Qualification and Age Limit
1. Superintendent — 4 Posts
Qualification: First Class Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in any discipline OR Master’s Degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade. Knowledge of computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheets, is required.
Age limit: 30 years. Pay: Level 6. Selection: Screening test plus qualifying computer skill test.
2. Technical Assistant — 13 Posts
Age limit: 30 years. Pay: Level 6. The essential qualification differs substantially by department or specialisation:
- Applied Geology: First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Geology as one subject OR Master’s Degree in Geology / Applied Geology with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade.
- Architecture & Planning: First Class or equivalent B.E./B.Tech in Architecture and Interior Decoration, Civil Engineering (Construction Technology), or Building and Construction Technology.
- Biotechnology: First Class B.E./B.Tech in Biotechnology OR M.Sc in Biotechnology with at least 50% marks.
- Chemical Engineering: First Class B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering.
- Chemistry: M.Sc in Chemistry with at least 50% marks.
- Civil Engineering: First Class B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- Computer Science & Engineering: First Class B.E./B.Tech in CSE/IT or MCA OR First Class Diploma in CSE/IT together with First Class or at least 60% marks in Class 10.

Qualification: Senior Secondary (10+2) from a recognised board; minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute and proficiency in computer word processing and spreadsheets.
Age limit: 33 years. Pay: Level 4. Selection: Screening test plus qualifying typing/computer proficiency test.
4. Senior Technician — 1 Post (Chemistry)
Qualification: Senior Secondary (10+2) in Science with Chemistry as a subject and at least 60% marks from a government-recognised board.
Age limit: 33 years. Pay: Level 4. Selection: Screening test only.
5. Technician — 15 Posts
Age limit: 27 years. Pay: Level 3. Qualifications are specialisation-specific:
- Architecture & Planning: 12th with 50% plus at least one-year ITI in Carpentry OR Class 10 with 60% plus two-year ITI in Carpentry.

- Mechanical Engineering: 12th with 50% and at least one-year ITI OR Class 10 with 60% and two-year ITI in a specified Diesel Mechanic, Motor Mechanic, CAM Programmer or Tool & Die Maker trade OR three-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Metallurgical & Materials Engineering: 12th with 50% plus at least one-year ITI OR Class 10 with 60% plus two-year ITI in Forger and Heat Treater, OR three-year Diploma in one of the specified Metallurgical, Materials, Metallurgy or Mechanical Engineering disciplines.
- Mining Engineering: 12th with 50% plus at least one-year ITI OR Class 10 with 60% plus two-year ITI in Electrical, Electrician or Fitter trade, OR three-year Diploma in Mining Engineering.

Age Relaxation
Age and qualifications are reckoned as of the last date of online application, or a revised closing date if NIT Raipur extends the deadline. As specified in the notice:
- SC/ST: up to 5 years, where applicable to posts reserved for the respective category.
- OBC Non-Creamy Layer: up to 3 years, where applicable.
- PwBD: 10 years (15 years for eligible SC/ST and 13 years for eligible OBC-NCL).
