Indian Army SSC Tech Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 350 Posts

The Indian Army has released the much-awaited notification for the Short Service Commission (Technical) – 67th Course for Men. This prestigious entry scheme offers an opportunity for B.E./B.Tech graduates to join the Indian Army as commissioned officers. A total of 350 vacancies are available across various engineering streams. The online application process will commence on 7th January 2026 and the last date to apply is 5th February 2026.

Stream-wise Vacancy Details

The 350 vacancies are distributed among the following core and miscellaneous engineering streams. Final year students are also eligible to apply.

Note: Vacancies are tentative and subject to change. Only the engineering streams strictly notified in the official advertisement are accepted.

Detailed Eligibility Criteria

1. Nationality

Must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal, or a Person of Indian Origin (PIO) with an eligibility certificate.

2. Educational Qualification

• Essential: B.E./B.Tech degree in the notified engineering streams from a recognized university/institution.
• Final Year Students: Candidates appearing in the final year/semester can apply. They must submit proof of passing by 01 October 2026.

3. Age Limit (as on 01 October 2026)

• Minimum Age: 20 Years
• Maximum Age: 27 Years
• Date of Birth Range: Candidates must be born between 02 October 1999 and 01 October 2006 (both dates inclusive).

4. Marital Status

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible.

5. Physical Standards

Candidates must meet the prescribed physical fitness criteria, including:

• 2.4 Km Run (10 min 30 sec)
• Push-ups (40), Pull-ups (6), Sit-ups (30)
• Knowledge of swimming fundamentals.

Salary, Allowances & Benefits

During Training (49 Weeks):

• Stipend: ₹56,100/- per month (Level-10).

After Commissioning (as Lieutenant):

• Basic Pay: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 (Level-10)
• Military Service Pay (MSP): ₹15,500 per month.
• Dearness Allowance (DA), Transport Allowance (TPTA), Technical Allowance, etc.
• Approx. CTC: ₹17-18 Lakhs per annum (excluding free medical, insurance, etc.).
• Insurance Cover: ₹1.25 Crore under Army Group Insurance Fund (AGIF).

Selection Process

The selection process is rigorous and multi-staged:

1. Shortlisting: Based on the cumulative percentage of marks obtained up to the final semester/year. Discipline-wise cut-offs will be applied.
2. SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a 5-day SSB Interview at Selection Centres (Allahabad, Bhopal, Bangalore, Jalandhar). This includes:
   • Stage I: Screening (Intelligence Test & Picture Perception)
   • Stage II: Psychological Tests, GTO Tasks, and Personal Interview.
3. Medical Examination: Recommended candidates undergo a thorough medical test.
4. Merit List: Final selection is based on the SSB marks, medical fitness, and vacancy availability.

How to Apply Online for Indian Army SSC Tech 2026?

Follow these steps carefully to submit your application successfully.

1. Visit Official Website: Go to the Indian Army recruitment portal: www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
2. Register/Login: Click on ‘Officer Entry Apply/Login’. New users must register using a valid email and mobile number.
3. Fill Application: After logging in, click ‘Apply Online’. Select ‘Technical Graduate Course’ and fill the detailed application form in segments:
   • Personal Information
   • Communication Details
   • Educational Details
   • Previous SSB Details (if any)
4. Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of required documents (photograph, signature, marksheets). Ensure your name and date of birth match exactly with your Matriculation Certificate.
5. Review & Submit: Carefully review all details on the ‘Summary’ page. Once verified, click ‘Submit’. No changes can be made after submission.
6. Print Application: After the final closure of online applications, take two printouts of the submitted application form with the roll number.
