Indian Air Force Airmen Medical Assistant Recruitment 2026: Apply Online

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the much-awaited recruitment notification for the post of Airmen in Group Y (Non-Technical) – Medical Assistant Trade. This recruitment drive invites applications from male Indian citizens for the Intake 01/2027. Candidates with a 12th Science (PCB) background or a Diploma/B.Sc in Pharmacy are eligible to apply for this prestigious role. Vacancy Details

• Post: Airmen Group Y (Medical Assistant Trade)
• Total Vacancies: As per requirement. The number of vacancies will be determined based on organizational needs. A separate Provisional Select List (PSL) will be published for Diploma/B.Sc Pharmacy holders.

Detailed Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

• For 10+2 (Intermediate) Candidates:
  • Must have passed 10+2/Intermediate or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
  • Minimum 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% marks in English.
• For Diploma/B.Sc Pharmacy Candidates:
  • Must have passed Intermediate/10+2 with PCB & English (50% aggregate & in English).
  • Additionally, must have a Diploma or B.Sc in Pharmacy with 50% aggregate.
  • Valid registration with the State Pharmacy Council or Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) is mandatory at the time of enrolment.

2. Age Limit (as on Date of Enrolment)

• For 10+2 Candidates: Must be unmarried. Born between 01 January 2006 and 01 January 2010 (Both dates inclusive). Should not exceed 21 years on enrolment.
• For Diploma/B.Sc Pharmacy Candidates:
  • Unmarried: Born between 01 January 2003 and 01 January 2008.
  • Married: Born between 01 January 2003 and 01 January 2006.
  • Upper age limit on enrolment is 24 years.

3. Medical Standards

Candidates must meet the prescribed IAF medical standards, including:

• Height: Minimum 152 cms.
• Chest: Minimum 77 cms with 5 cms expansion.
• Vision: 6/36 each eye correctable to 6/6. CP-II Colour Vision.
• Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
• Hearing, Dental, etc.: As per IAF norms.

Salary & Benefits

• During Training: Stipend of ₹14,600/- per month.
• After Training: Starting gross emoluments at the minimum of the pay scale, including Military Service Pay (MSP), is approximately ₹26,900/- per month.
• Allowances: Dearness Allowance, Transport Allowance, Composite Personal Maintenance Allowance (CPMA), Leave Ration Allowance, etc.

Selection Process

The selection is a multi-stage process:

1. Phase-I Online Test: Objective type test of 45 minutes.
   • Subjects: English (as per 10+2 CBSE) and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA).
   • Marking: +1 for correct, -0.25 for wrong.
2. Phase-II Testing at Airmen Selection Centre (ASC): Shortlisted candidates will undergo:
   • Document Verification
   • Physical Fitness Test (PFT): 1.6 Km run, Push-ups, Sit-ups, Squats.
   • Adaptability Tests
3. Phase-III Medical Examination: By Air Force Medical Team as per strict IAF standards.
4. Final Merit List: Based on performance in all stages and medical fitness.

Application Fee

• Amount: ₹550/- + 18% GST = ₹649/- (Non-refundable).
• Exemption: No exemption is mentioned for any category.
• Payment Mode: Online via Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, UPI.
