Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualifications
Candidates must hold one of the following qualifications from a Central or State Government-recognized Institution/University:
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) / Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) or equivalent in:
- Telecommunications, Electronics, Radio, Computer, Electrical, Information Technology (IT), or Instrumentation.
- M.Sc. in Electronics or Computer Science.
- M.Tech. holders in the above-prescribed disciplines are also fully eligible to apply.
2. Medical & Vision Requirements
- Applicants must possess binocular vision.
- Candidates must be capable of distinguishing principal colors.
- Final appointment is subject to clearing BSNL’s designated Medical Examination.
3. Nationality
- Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
Age Limit & Relaxations
The general age criterion requires candidates to be between 20 and 30 years old as on the closing date of the application (July 3, 2026). Category-wise upper age relaxations are outlined below:
External Candidates
- Unreserved / EWS / OBC (Creamy Layer): 30 Years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 33 Years (30 + 3 relaxation)
- SC / ST: 35 Years (30 + 5 relaxation)
- PwBD (Unreserved / EWS): 40 Years (30 + 10 relaxation)
- PwBD (OBC Non-Creamy Layer): 43 Years (30 + 13 relaxation)
- PwBD (SC / ST): 45 Years (30 + 15 relaxation)
- Ex-Serviceman: As per Central Government Rules.

- BSNL Employees (UR / EWS): 35 Years
- BSNL Employees (OBC Non-Creamy Layer): 38 Years

Application Fee
The application processing fee must be paid online only via Internet Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card through the official exam portal. The fee is strictly non-refundable.

- SC / ST / PwBD Candidates: ₹1,000/-
Selection Methodology & Exam Pattern
The selection will be based on a competitive Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of multiple-choice objective type questions.
Written Examination Structure
The exam lasts for 3 hours and contains 120 questions carrying a maximum of 480 marks.

Marking Scheme & Cut-offs
- Positive Marking: +4 marks for each correct response.
- Negative Marking: -1 mark for each incorrect response.
- Sectional Minimum: Candidates must score a minimum of 40% in each individual section.
- Aggregate Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- 50% overall across all sections for Unreserved / OBC (Creamy Layer) candidates.
- 45% overall across all sections for SC / ST / OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) / PwBD / EWS candidates.
Shortlisted candidates who feature in the final merit list will be called for physical Document Verification and the mandatory Medical Examination prior to their appointment.

3.Fill the Application Form:Accurate Marks Submission.
Log in with your credentials and complete the application profile. Fill in your chosen engineering branch, personal data, circle preferences, and exact graduation/post-graduation marks.
4.Document Upload:Image Scan Specifications.
Upload your passport-sized photograph, signature scan, and left thumb impression according to the dimensions and file sizes specified in the portal.
5.Online Fee Payment:Non-Refundable.
Pay the required application fee (₹2,000 for UR/OBC/EWS or ₹1,000 for SC/ST/PwBD) using internet banking, credit card, or debit card.
6.Final Review and Submit:Save Confirmation Page.
