The YIL Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2026 notification invites online applications for approximately 3,979 vacancies for its 59th Batch of apprentices. This includes both Ex-ITI and Non-ITI candidates for training across various Ordnance and Ordnance Equipment Factories located in multiple states. Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification (as on 03.03.2026)
- For Non-ITI Candidates: Must have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) with minimum 50% aggregate marks and 40% marks in Mathematics and Science separately.
- For Ex-ITI Candidates: Must have passed the relevant ITI trade from NCVT/SCVT with minimum 50% marks. Also must have passed Class 10 with 50% marks.
- Final year/awaiting result candidates are NOT eligible.
2. Age Limit (as on 03.03.2026)
- Minimum Age: 14 Years (18 Years for hazardous trades).
- Maximum Age: 35 Years.
- Age Relaxation: Applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates as per Government of India rules and the Apprentices Act, 1961.
Selection Process
The selection is purely merit-based. There is no written exam.
- Merit List Preparation:
- For Non-ITI: Based on percentage of marks in Class 10.
- For Ex-ITI: Based on the average percentage of marks in Class 10 and ITI.
- Factory-wise & Trade-wise Selection: Merit lists will be prepared separately for each factory and trade.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of original certificates.
- Medical Examination: Final engagement is subject to being found medically fit.
