Eligibility Criteria: Check Before You Apply

1. Educational & Technical Qualification

• Essential: Must have passed the 10th Standard (Matriculation) from a recognized board.
• License: Must possess a valid Driving License for Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) and Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV).
• Skill: Must have knowledge of motor mechanisms and the ability to rectify minor vehicle defects.

2. Driving Experience

Candidates must have a minimum of three years of experience in driving Light and Heavy Motor Vehicles.

3. Age Limit (as on 19th January 2026)

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 27 Years
• Age Relaxation is applicable as per Government of India rules:
  • OBC: Up to 3 years
  • SC/ST: Up to 5 years
  • Government Servants: Up to 40 years (under specific conditions)
  • Ex-Servicemen: As per prevailing rules.

Salary and Perks

Selected candidates will be appointed in Level-2 of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) Pay Matrix, ensuring a stable and rewarding career.

• Pay Scale: ₹19,900 – ₹63,200
• Basic Pay at Entry: ₹19,900 per month.
• Additional Allowances: Selected candidates will be entitled to various allowances including:
  • Dearness Allowance (DA)
  • House Rent Allowance (HRA)
  • Transport Allowance (TA)
• Other Benefits: Coverage under the National Pension System (NPS), medical benefits, leave travel concession, and other benefits as per government rules.

Selection Process: Theory & Practical Test

The selection will be based purely on merit through a two-stage examination process. There will be no interview.

1. Stage I: Theory Test (80 Marks)
   • Format: Computer Based Test (CBT) or Written Examination.
   • Duration: 90 Minutes.
   • Syllabus: General Knowledge, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Simple Arithmetic, and Motor Mechanism & Traffic Rules.
2. Stage II: Practical Test (20 Marks)
   • Paper I (10 Marks): Identification of vehicle defects and minor repairs.
   • Paper II (10 Marks): Actual driving test for a Heavy Motor Vehicle.

The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined marks obtained in both the Theory and Practical tests.

How to Apply Offline: Step-by-Step Guide

Since the application process is completely offline, candidates must follow these steps meticulously:

1. Download Notification & Form: Visit the official website or the provided link to download the official notification PDF. The application form (Annexure-I) is contained within.
2. Print & Fill Form: Take a printout of the application form. Fill in all required details clearly in BLOCK LETTERS using a blue or black ballpoint pen.
3. Attach Photograph: Paste a recent passport-size photograph in the designated space on the form.
4. Gather Documents: Prepare self-attested photocopies of all required documents:
   • 10th Standard Marksheet/Certificate (Proof of Age & Education)
   • Valid LMV & HMV Driving License
   • Experience Certificate for 3 years of driving
   • Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) in prescribed format, if applicable
   • Ex-Serviceman discharge certificate, if applicable
5. Pay Application Fee:
   • Fee: ₹100 for General, OBC, EWS, and ESM candidates.
   • Exemption: SC, ST, and Women candidates are exempted from fee payment.
